Our Junior Fitness Squad programme is designed to engage, motivate, and inspire young people who may be struggling in mainstream education. The course combines practical physical activity, personal development, and leadership training to help students re-engage with learning and build valuable life skills.
Programme Overview
• Location: On-site at schools or community sports facilities
• For interested students, there are clear pathways into volunteering, apprenticeships, and further coaching qualifications - Course Modules

Core Components
1. Physical Activity & Fitness
• Fun, structured sessions focused on improving fitness, teamwork, and coordination
• Inclusive sports and games that promote engagement and social interaction
• Goal setting and personal progress tracking to help students experience achievement
2. Personal Development & Behavioural Support
• Reflection sessions to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience
• Emphasis on communication, respect, teamwork, and positive relationships
• Daily check-ins and mentoring support from trained coaches and youth workers
3. Young Leaders Coaching Programme
• Designed to introduce students to the basics of sports coaching and leadership
• Covers key topics such as:
• How to plan and deliver a safe, fun session
• How to motivate and communicate with others
• Leadership styles and teamwork in a coaching environment
• Understanding responsibility, safeguarding, and inclusion in sport
• Practical opportunities for students to assist in Junior Fitness Squad community sessions
• Completion of the course leads to a Junior Sports Leader Certificate, recognising their progress and achievement - Awarding Body

The Junior Fitness Squad team is made up of experienced, qualified, and highly motivated coaches who are passionate about using sport as a tool to engage, educate, and empower young people. Our staff bring a blend of expertise from coaching, education, and youth work, ensuring that every session is both impactful and inclusive. Coaching and Educational Experience
• All lead coaches hold minimum Level 2 coaching qualifications (FA, Multi-Skills, or equivalent) and are trained in safeguarding, first aid, and behaviour management.
• Team members have extensive experience delivering PE, fitness, and enrichment sessions in both primary and secondary school settings, working with pupils of all abilities and backgrounds. - Delivery Area
